Arsenal Confirm New Deals For Mikel Arteta & Jonas Eidevall

Arsenal collectively announced new contracts for the men’s manager Mikel Arteta and women’s manager Jonas Eidevall, giving both coaches the opportunity to keep building the next stage of their respective projects together with the Gunners..

Arteta’s brand new three-year contract runs until 2025, following the dismissal of Unai Emery in December 2019. Meanwhile, Eidevall received two more years till 2024.

“When I spoke with Josh Kroenke, he can see the club at exactly the same time as well as he wished to take the club the way I want to to do it,” Arteta wrote on the club’s website. So everything that he has stated, and that Stan has said when I have been together with each of them, they have consistently delivered.

“We would like to take the club to another level and compete with the top teams,” he said. We need to play in the Champions League if we want to achieve this.

“We need to be able to develop the team, better our players, improve all departments, produce more connection with our supporters, improve the atmosphere at Emirates, have the ability to recruit the best talent and the very best men and women to push the project to that level.”

Eidevall added: “It enables me to continue working for a club that I like so much and also be around individuals that i really, truly love, and also to have the ability to accomplish things together, so I am really looking forward to that.”

Swede appointed him as replacement for Joe Montemurro in the summer of last year and took the team to the brink of the WSL title and also the Champions League knockout stages.

My dad and I happen to be thrilled to have extended both the contracts of Mikel and Jonas. It “provides clarity and stability for future years and helps us all move ahead together effectively,” said Josh Kroenke, Arsenal director.

“Mikel’s dedication and passion are obvious for everyone to see,” he said. We are confident that he will help us return to the top trophies as we move forward.”Turning to Jonas, he’s had an excellent start to his career in England,” he said. He’s completed an excellent job with the staff, and we’re in contention for the title on the last few days. We are certain that he is going to continue to guide us in the years to come..
