The Portuguese skipper made a sensational return to Old Trafford last summer, thirteen years after he left in a then world record move to join the Spanish giants Real Madrid.
His return to the Red Devils didn’t produce the desired effects. Ronaldo could not help the team improve despite having scored 24 goals in 38 matches across all competitions.
United had an unsatisfactory season, which resulted in a sixth place finish in the Premier League.
The signing of Ronaldo was ultimately criticized because of whether he is still able to play the pressing game and more than general cohesion with some other team mates.

Ronaldo is thought to have told his inner circle that in case he does not get any more transfers, he will begin searching for a new club.
