La Liga president Javier Tebas “prefers” Spain’s top-flight with Cristiano Ronaldo in it and hopes the former Real Madrid striker will return..”
Ronaldo sealed a £105million move to Juventus last summer after nine sensational years at Real Madrid.
The Portuguese won 15 major trophies during his stay at Los Blancos, managing to scoop two La Liga titles.
The first of his league successes, in which Ronaldo scored 46 goals, was masterminded by Jose Mourinho, who is currently waiting for his next managerial project while dabbling in punditry.
Long-term president Tebas admires both men and told Canal 11:
“I would like to have Cristiano Ronaldo back and for Jose Mourinho to be coaching a Spanish team.”
“I thought that his departure would affect us more to be honest,” Tebas added.
“However, I prefer the Spanish league with Ronaldo in it than without.
“The Premier League for many years had no Ballon d’Or winners, but was still the best league in the world.
“That’s a great job on many levels.”
