Roy Keane Makes Prediction About Man United And Liverpool FC Next Season

Roy Keane doesn’t feel that Manchester United can contend for the Premier League title next season – and he’s tipping Liverpool FC to finish behind the “brilliant” Manchester City once again.

There has been a lot of focus on Old Trafford recently as brand new manager Erik 10 Hag gets to do the job ahead of his very first season at the club.

Manchester United have finished a deal to sign full back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord so far and will be linked with additional additions this summer as 10 Hag attempts to put together his strongest possible squad ahead of the new season.

The Red Devils fell to some dismal sixth placed finish last season in a trophyless campaign under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick – and United’s priority next term is likely to always be fighting for a top four spot plus the Champions League qualification which will come with it..

Nevertheless, Liverpool FC were busy this summer bolstering their squad and have brought in Calvin Ramsay, Fabio Carvalho, and Darwin Nunez as they aim to go one step even further and win the title.

Reds saw Sadio Mane depart for Bayern Munich earlier in the window, but were able to secure Mohamed Salah’s future once the forward signed a new contract earlier in the month.

The former Manchester United captain Keane believes that the Red Devils will probably fall behind the top 2 sides next term and that Manchester City will probably be the champions once again after their signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

Talking in a chat with Sky Bet, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, Keane responded when asked whether the likes of Chelsea FC, Tottenham and Arsenal is able to get nearer to the best in the future: “I do not believe they are going to close the gap. I think that they’ll be better. They’ve the quality as well as they have the recruitment, but you can not look beyond Liverpool and Man City. ”

Keane said City could retain the title next season, adding: “Brilliant players, they have clearly improved with an incredible striker (Haaland) and they have one of the best managers ever in Pep Guardiola.

Keane added about his former club United: “The manager Ten Hag is going to be provided cash to invest, just how he recruits, four or five experienced players have left the club, that is a good thing,” he said. But I do not see United vying with Liverpool and Manchester City at this time.

Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign and have a home game against Brighton, while Liverpool FC take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
