Memphis Depay created a moment of brilliance as Barcelona got off to a terrific start against Inter Miami on their pre – season tour of America..
It seems like it has been a long good old pre season for Barca now this summer, with the lengthy transfer sagas of Raphinha, Frenkie and robert Lewandowski de Jong continuing for many days.
The signings of the previous pair have forced Depay down the pecking order in Xavi’s team, particularly with the signings of Ferran Torres and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in January and the resigning of Ousmane Dembele.

Barca pounded their American competitors as Aubameyang opened the scoring in the 19th minute, before Raphinha got his very first goal for the club 6 minutes later, as Ansu Fati made it 3-0 right before half time.
Raphinha actually created both the goals that he did not score in the first half before being replaced after the break, even though it didn’t make a big difference for the Spanish giants.
Depay had been the provider for Gavi’s goal in the 55th minute, before his individual brilliance in the 69th minute, as well as Dembele a minute later.
Whether or not it is sufficient to keep the Dutchman with the club this summer remains to be seen, but at least interested buyers are provided a reminder of just how good he could be..
