Zidane Iqbal & Charlie Savage Show Slick Skills In Man Utd Warm-up
The rising stars from Manchester United’s pre season tour have been Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage, and the pair seem to be having a good time..
Iqbal and Savage are graduates of the United academy, and they made their first team debuts last season against Young Boys in the Champions League group stage.
The pair have yet to make another competitive appearance for the club, however they both impressed in the training Erik ten Hag and were named to the squad for the pre season tours of Australia and Thailand.
They came off the bench in three of United’s pre-season friendly matches and have created assured and remarkable performances in the centre of the park.
Savage, who’s the son of former United academy graduate Robbie Savage, is well known for his exceptional passing range and has gained a lot of praises..
“Charlie Savage has done nicely in the 2 matches,’ said Bryan Robson, United legend and MUTV host. “He’s worked hard, he has not given the ball away, he shuts people down very well.
He has not actually done anything wrong at this time. This is your chance to impress the supervisor. ”
Iqbal also gained people’s interest with his turn and drag-back in the 4-1 win over Melbourne Victory which went viral on social media.
They’re clearly confident with the ball at their feet and have shown their amazing skills in the warm up prior to their 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
Ten Hag might market the midfielders to the first team squad for 2022-23, though they have been linked with loan moves.
Iqbal told the Guardian newspaper that he’d grown up really liking this club. “I’ve been playing here since I was eight or even nine,” he said. I dreamed about playing before 90,000 people in Bangkok. It’s hard to describe how it is to play against Victory and Liverpool in the Champions League.
“if the chance came up to go out on loan, I will weigh the pros and cons,” she said. It’s too early to say at this time. See what’s in store for the future..
