Borussia Dortmund Coach Praises Erling Haaland After Goalscoring Performance

Edin Terzic, manager of Borussia Dortmund, praised Manchester City striker Erling Haaland’s amazing finish in Champions League action..

Erling Haaland received a huge amount of praise after he scored a fantastic goal for Manchester City to secure three points in their Champions League draw with Borussia Dortmund.

The Cityzens had been leading for more than 20 minutes because of a Jude Bellingham header but found themselves level after John Stones rifled in a shot from the edge of the area in the 80th minute.

And it will require City only 4 minutes to grab the lead when Joao Cancelo whipped in an exquisite cross with the outside of his feet which was met extremely well by Haaland, who volleyed the ball into the net on the stretch.

The Norwegian displayed incredible athleticism to get at the end of the cross, and it had been a goal that not many other players in world football could have achieved.

With Haaland having played only nine games so far, his acrobatic effort means his goal total of the season is already 13.

Among those who was eager to praise Haaland was none other than his former supervisor Edin Terzic. The German coach also agreed that the goal was one that very few other players could score.

Not a lot of players on the planet would get that goal, “Terzic told HITC. “we have benefitted from him scoring goals like that for us in recent years. That is why it’s so frustrating and bitter for him to do that for the other team today. We had under good control the Man City attack and almost stopped service to Erling.

Dortmund manager Gerhard Schroeder said his side kept City’s attack quiet, though the goal is proof that City will always have a solid chance of scoring when the Norwegian is on the pitch, because he only needs one chance to do so..

Last night, as Dortmund marshalled City’s attack, it felt as though a Haaland goal was unavoidable given how extremely proficient the City’s target man is.
